Prefer to operate within a confidentiality or non-disclosure agreement?
As the detailed analyses performed by MartinProtean requires our handling what is frequently proprietary information, many of our clients prefer for us to enter into a confidentiality or non-disclosure agreement prior to initiating work. We keep the work we do confidential as SOP, so it is routine for us to enter into these agreements. If divulging to us the structures of your proprietary reagents or the identities (usually conferred by the sequences) of your targets of interest is something you wish to remain protected, please submit a request for entering such an agreement. As these data are necessary for the successful performance of our services, for those who deem it necessary, we initiate that process here:
Request a quote for protein modification characterization: What residues are modified, to what extent?
If you have covalently modified protein that you use in your research and you need to to determine what residues on the protein were modified and to what extent or you needvalidate that the modifications are to specification completing this quote request will generate a price quote for you for the characterization as well as help you organize the information you will need to supply us to complete the work.
You will supply MartinProtean with the following samples: an unmodified protein prep and at least one prep of modified protein. You may also be asked to supply some of the modification reagent. You will also supply MartinProtean with the following information regarding your samples, the amino acid sequences of the target proteins in the samples, the structure of your modification reagent (as a Chemdraw figure or equivalent), and the volumes, protein concentrations, and buffer compositions of the protein samples
MartinProtean will return to you a written report describing completely the experiments performed, the amino acid residues found to be modified (intended and serendipitous), the extent to which those residues are modified in the sample, and the data and analysis supporting those quantified assignments. Our clients find these analyses illuminating in understanding the performance of the modified proteins in their experiments of interest.
